I read an interesting article today called “What is Content Marketing, written by Content Marketing Institute. They define content marketing as ” a strategic marketing approach focused on creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly defined audience — and, ultimately, to drive profitable customer action.”
No matter your industry, the old adage still remains, content is king. When you look at the content of your website, are viewers able to find what they need? A successful web strategy should include a combination of written information, photos, videos, links to other pages of your website.
Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of meeting Shorty of Shorty’s Caboy Hattery in Oklahoma City. Always forward thinking, when she asked what I did and I told her virtual tours, she asked if I could add a virtual tour to Google for her. Well of course we can! I followed up with her and continued the conversation of what she needed for her store. Since we were going to be in Oklahoma City, Shorty decided to get some additional content to be used at a later date on her website and social media platforms. Offer the course of 2 days we captured panoramic images for the Shorty’s Caboy Hattery Google tour, video of the hat making process, interviews with Shorty and her partner, Bobbi, as well as still photos of the store and hat making process. Shorty was making sure to stock up on content for her website. You may not use it all at once, but it is great to have it there when you need it!
